Our family also owns English Bay Launch, a water taxi company that offers a faster commuting alternative between Downtown Vancouver and Bowen Island.

We have bought the Granville Island Water Taxi company to keep the Vancouver to Bowen Island route open because we believe in the importance of keeping this island connected to the city. We want to help the people of Bowen Island get jobs while keeping their quality of life on the island. We also want to make Bowen Island more accessible to tourists.

Everybody can enjoy a boat ride with English Bay Launch: business commuters, people visiting friends, hikers, trail runners, mountain bikers, tourists, people with summer houses, etc. Our skippers always offer the alternative between the fast commuting route and the scenic route. The captains are not only experienced mariners and qualified marine mechanics but they are also personable, friendly, outgoing and know how to make safety speech entertaining.

We accept dogs, kayaks, bikes, groceries...everything that fits on the boat and doesn't make it unsafe. We are family friendly. We also accept group bookings of up to 15.

Keep your eyes open for new routes. We are exploring routes that other people have tried from Downtown Gibsons Sunshine Coast to Downtown Vancouver, Deep Cove to Waterfront.
